At LTH research is directed towards ion-beam-based measurements, including the PIXE (proton-induced X-ray emission) method. Development is taking place in methods of measurement and optimization of ion optics. Dr. Lund received a PhD in high-energy nuclear physics at the University of Lund in 1986. Until 1992, he continued to work as a researcher in high-energy nuclear physics in Germany (GSI Darmstadt), the Netherlands (KVI Groningen) and Switzerland (CERN Geneva).

(Nuclear structure theory (FMF121,FYST11) - This is the homepage for the course in Nuclear structure theory (FMF121,FYST11) at Lund University. - This course is intended for the students, who want to experience some theoretical exercises in the application of quantum mechanics. The development of the Monte Carlo simulation for LDMX, through extensions of the GEANT4 framework, is at the core of the thesis work.
